Quartz photochemical reactor

Technical specifications
Quartz photochemical reactor. The system is a 100 liter reaction chamber with UVA, UVB, UVC and sunlamps, multipass infrared absorption spectroscopy and temperature control from -30 to +40 degrees Celcius.

Use of equipment
Atmospheric simulation chamber to study environmental impact of pollution. This includes reaction rates, reaction products and infrared absorption spectrum. One use is to determine the global warming potential of chemicals, another is the impact on air pollution. Examples include industrially important CFC replacement gases, the solvents used for carbon capture and storage, and biofuels.
