RNAi Library Resource

Technical specifications
Various customized Human Silencer® siRNA Libraries from Applied Biosystems.
Thermo Scientific Open Biosystems pGIPZ Lentiviral shRNAmir Human and Mouse Whole Genome libraries.

siRNA libraries: Currently, the facility holds six customized Human Silencer® siRNA Libraries from Applied Biosystems covering the:

  • Kinome
  • Phosphatome
  • Customized Nucleic Acid Binding factors (NAB5)
  • Selected DNA Repair factors (NAB1)
  • Selected Chromatin Remodelling factors (NAB3)
  • Ubiquitome

Each target gene is represented by three individual siRNA constructs. Aliquots of individual sublibraries can be purchased at 0.04pmol siRNA in 384-well format.

shRNA libraries: BRIC has acquired the Thermo Scientific Open Biosystems pGIPZ Lentiviral shRNAmir Human and Mouse Whole Genome libraries.

To this end, we can offer constructs from:

  • Human pGIPZ shRNAmir releases 6.1 - 6.15
  • Mouse pGIPZ shRNAmir releases 7.1 - 7.13

The two libraries cover 72.000 (human) and 62.400 (mouse) constructs against both annotated and non-annotated genes. Typically 2-5 constructs per gene are available and can be purchased in the format of single colonies, glycerol stocks or plasmid preparations.

The pGIPZ Lenitiviral shRNAmir libraries have a genome-wide coverage. Thus, genes or constructs lacking in our parts of the library, should be available in higher releases and can be purchased from Open Biosystems directly.

Use of equipment
RNAi based knockdown experiments of either individual targets or in screen format.

Target group
Everyone at the University of Copenhagen.
